The recycling centre’s re-opening date has been put back to 11th March 2024.
Powys CC’s Head of Service has apologised for the delay which has been caused by the periods of severe weather – the very cold spells and the wet and stormy spells – hampering construction work.
Works in winter do face risks that weather events will slow them down and extend them beyond the originally projected completion dates, but in this case winter was chosen as the optimum period for the works because it is the time of year when demand for the centre is at its lowest, and when closure would cause comparatively less disruption to residents.
Residents are thanked for their patience and understanding.
