The Vale of Grwyney Community Council has been consulted on an application to move Public Footpath No 2 which currently lies just outside the curtilage of the dwelling at Ty’n-y-Cae, Glangrwyney to a largely parallel route next to the Grwyne Fawr River (albeit several metres from the river bank). The proposed new route would be 3 metres wide and gated at one point only (see plan below).
The Community Council would welcome your views on this proposal.
Comments must be received before the 14th January 2018 and should be sent via the Clerk to the Council

Powys Budget Stimulator

Powys County Council is having to find savings of £27m over the coming three financial years starting in April 2016.
To that effect they have launched an online budget simulator tool which is live until 30 November 2015.
Go to www.powys.gov.uk/consultations to take part.
The simulator sets out a range of draft proposals that the council’s Cabinet has discussed and they are asking residents to take over control of the purse strings, look at all the proposals which total more than the required £27m and balance the books.
Powys County Council is keen to see where Powys residents feel savings can and can’t be made. There are proposals for highways, schools, adult care and leisure and library services.
