Farm Families Health Checks Programme
The farming community is particularly susceptible to poor health and wellbeing, partly driven by the wide demands impacting on farmers across a range of social and economic factors. They often work long and anti-social hours which can lead to social isolation and often difficulty accessing traditional health care services.
The War Memorial Health Centre, Crickhowell, with help from the Community Council, is offering the farming community in the Vale of Grwyney a free confidential health check up. There will be an afternoon set aside specifically for the farming residents of the valley t attend for a general check up and ask the doctors for any advice or information on any health related issues.
We have had a good response from many locals and if you or anyone in your family are interested please let Cllr Marc Jones (0789 1034195) or the Health Centre (01873 810255) know so we can go ahead and organise a date for the open clinic.
